Hi, I’m Charlotte.
I’m the designer, Creative, and dreamer behind Ink the Ocean.
For a while, I’ve picked up random design projects ranging from creating logos to visually rehauling websites. I’ve always enjoyed helping different people help their companies, products, and causes look better (or I just get triggered by horrendous design, who knows).
Either way, I thought it would be cool to finally solidify all that passion into something “professional.” So I created this little studio in hopes that I can continue to help others with their projects (maybe that includes you?)
Thanks for checking out my little website, and shoot me a courier pigeon if you ever find yourself in need of a little artistical fairy dust (or use the contact form).
the LORE
In which I ramble about my past…
Growing up, my mom (a wonderful graphic designer) taught me the ways of art and design. How much of it was actually taught and how much of it was me aspiring to be like her is all somewhat blurry in my mind, but I grew up always loving to create. Art, design, writing, crafts, photography… it didn’t matter. I just liked making cool stuff.
Clearly this didn’t go unnoticed by my peers (and their parents), and I’m very grateful for all the times I was called in to help with various projects throughout my middle and high school years. Ever inspired, I even started a few projects of my own. All of them helped me learn and grow more as an artist and designer (you can find a bunch of these on my portfolio page).
I didn’t really think I could do “art stuff” as more than a hobby. Going into college, I started as a computer science major (hoping to get to continue designing websites), then switched my degree to marketing (hoping to get to continue designing flyers and posters). I finished up my Bachelors in Marketing in the summer of 2025, but still felt restless.
You see, the biggest roadblock for me has always been the inability to stay within a box. I don’t want to just be a web designer, or just a digital marketer. I don’t want to lock myself into drawing art commissions the rest of my life, nor do I want to just edit videos. I want to try new things, be learning constantly, and be able to adapt to whatever the project needs.
I’ve dabbled in a bit of everything, and I love far too many aspects of creativity to settle for anything less than continuing to hone my skills in as many areas as I can.
So got anything I could help with? I’d love to work with you 🙂
